Finn Treudler is European Champion XCO U23
At the beginning of the European Championship battle in the U23 men´s race, Finn and Frenchman Luca Martin took the lead in the cross country race. The duo led the field for a long time and continuously extended their lead. On the penultimate lap, the Swiss rider was able to pull away from his team-mate and rode to the title with a lead of 1:02 minutes. U23 XCC title for Kira Böhm
In the combined short track race with the elite riders, Kira Böhm positioned herself as the best-placed U23 rider right from the start. She rode confidently in the field of the more experienced starters and ultimately crossed the finish line in fifth place overall. This outstanding performance secured her the gold medal in the U23 category. In rainy and very cold conditions, the German was initially able to pull away in the cross-country race. However, a crash and the resulting defect in her rear derailleur on the penultimate lap prevented any further success and she finished the race in 17th place.
