Last Saturday Danny Hart secured 2nd place at the Downhill World Cup in Leogang and with it the first podium for the CUBE Factory Racing Team this season. After it had rained for a few days beforehand, the already challenging course was even more difficult due to the muddy conditions. In qualifying on Friday, the two riders Danny Hart and Max Hartenstern mastered the slippery conditions and were able to put themselves in a good starting position with 4th and 11th place.

Just in time for the finals on Saturday, the sun showed up in Leogang. Hardly any of the top 10 riders wanted to manage a clean run. Unfortunately, Max Hartenstern was slowed down by a technical defect, which dropped him back to 34th place. As the fourth-last starter, Danny Hart put in a furious run and was able to take the lead at the finish. In the end he was only beaten by Matt Walker. With 2nd place he secured the first podium for the CUBE Factory Racing Team in the 2022 World Cup season.
