International and national victories for CUBE Factory Racing athletes
Last weekend, the two CUBE Factory Racing athletes Jess Blewitt and Kira Böhm made a strong start to the season and impressed with their first victories at national and international level.
At the New Zealand Downhill Championships at Coronet Peak, Jess Blewitt defended her national title in the women's elite category for the second time in a row. Jess Blewitt crossed the finish line almost 2 seconds ahead of defending world champion Vali Höll, who was not fighting for the title, to become New Zealand Downhill Champion for the 3rd time. Her form is definitely on the right track for the first race in the UCI Downhill World Cup in Fort William at the beginning of May.
At the same time, Kira Böhm triumphed in the U23 race (HC category) at the Shimano Supercup Massi in Banyoles, Spain. After an intensive two-week training camp in Spain, this race marked the start of the season and the first test for Kira. With a strong performance, she crossed the finish line as the winner, demonstrating her international potential.
