First German UCI Cross Team from Franconia
Heizomat p/b Kloster Kitchen have announced their team roster for the coming cyclocross season 2023/24. High-profile riders and an impressive support crew promise an exciting and successful season ahead.
The team heads into the 2023/24 cyclocross season with three elite and five U23 riders, and one junior rider in the U19 category.
At the team presentation, the management and sports direction team under Stefan Herrmann and Roman Jördens introduced new squad members Jule Märkl (U23), the two Swissmen Loris Rouiller (Elite, former U19 Vice European Champion) and Finn Treudler (U23), and junior rider Benedikt Benz (U19, U17 German National Road Champion). The team are also pleased to confirm the return of reigning Elite National Champion and multiple U19 National Champion Judith Krahl of Germany.
The new members join reigning U23 National Champion Hannes Degenkolb, Lukas Herrmann (Elite) and Fabian Eder (U23) of Germany, and Swissman Lars Sommer (U23).
Speaking about the team’s main objectives for this season, team manager Stefan Herrmann had the following to say: “Our goals are very clear. At the national level, we intend to defend and extend our German national champion titles and dominate the Bundesliga, and will also be focussing on the Swiss national championship. Internationally, we are aiming for top-ten finishes and potentially podium spots at the C1/UCI races and the World Cups. We also hope to receive several nominations from the BDR for the European Championships in France and the Worlds in Tabor, Czechia.”
