Successful Weekend for CUBE Athletes

A race weekend to remember: Whether on Brazilian soil at the second World Cup of the season, at the UCI Junior Series in South Tyrol, or on the legendary cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix – our athletes impressed with strong performances across the board.

Finn Treudler flies to double victory in Araxá
The second round of the UCI MTB World Series in Araxá, Brazil once again delivered excellent results for our CUBE Factory Racing XC Team – and all that under extreme heat.
Friday’s Short Track race set the tone:
In the U23 category, Finn Treudler stood out once again with a smart race strategy and a powerful final sprint – 2nd place and another podium! Nikolaj Hougs also delivered a solid ride to finish 12th. Ella Maclean-Howell fought her way up through the U23 women’s field after a difficult start – narrowly missing the podium with a strong 4th place finish. Kira Böhm finished 16th in the Elite women’s race, earning a solid position for Sunday’s XCO. In the men’s Elite race, Ondrej Cink came in 26th.
Then on Saturday, the highlight:
Finn Treudler took another commanding victory in the U23 XCO race – his second World Cup win in just seven days! He led from start to finish, while teammate Nikolaj Hougs backed him up with an excellent 7th place. Ella Maclean-Howell was riding inside the top 10 until a mechanical issue set her back. Still, she pushed through and showed great determination to finish 19th. Kira Böhm put in another consistent ride in the Elite field, improving to 25th – a solid step forward in her debut Elite season. Ondrej Cink, after a slow start, worked his way up to finish 18th.

Double Top 10 at Paris-Roubaix
There was also reason to celebrate on the road: At the legendary Paris-Roubaix Classic, the Intermarché-Wanty team, racing on the CUBE Litening C:68X, showed outstanding teamwork.
Jonas Rutsch was part of the early breakaway, led the race for long stretches, and fought his way to an impressive 6th place finish – his first ever Top 10 in a Monument! Laurenz Rex followed closely behind in 10th, while Biniam Girmay took 15th in his Paris-Roubaix debut. Taco van der Hoorn completed the strong team performance in 20th place.

Next Gen Power at the UCI Junior Series in Nals
Our CUBE Factory Racing Next Generation XC Team was also on fire at the UCI Junior Series in Nals, South Tyrol: Marusa Tereza Serkezi dominated the junior women’s race from start to finish, taking a commanding win. In the junior men’s race, Daan Bakelaar was right up front and sprinted to a strong 3rd place finish. Cas Timmermans backed it up with a solid 6th, and despite a flat tire, Fynn Lanter fought hard to secure 17th – a strong result under the circumstances.
